Library Reimbursement Policy
As the Town of Legal is not a member and does not contribute to the Northern Lights Library System or any other independent Library systems across Alberta, Council has determined a need to reimburse residents within the Town of Legal limits who wish to access a public library system.
Any Town of Legal resident who purchases an annual library membership will be entitled for reimbursement from the Town for the cost of library fees up to a maximum of $50.00 per year per household.
- Documentation will be required when applying for the reimbursement. The applicant may be required to provide original documentation confirming residency. This may be in the form of a letter or email from the property owner advising the Town that the applicant resides on his/her property, a Town of Legal utility bill, tax notice or all of the above.
- Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Applicants must reside in the Town of Legal for a minimum of 90 days.
