About Legal

Welcome | Bienvenue

Legal is a Town in central Alberta, Canada within Sturgeon County. Legal is located 2.4 km’s east of Highway 2 on Highway 651. Highway 2 is part of Alberta’s main transportation corridors and provides quick access to major urban centres such as St. Albert, Edmonton, and Fort Saskatchewan. As a competitive partner in the Sturgeon region, Legal continues to experience steady population growth (9.8 percent between 2011 and 2016).

It is projected that 68 percent of the world population is expected to live in major urban areas by 2050. This means that major urban centers will become busier and more congested. Commute time will increase, land values will rise, educational and healthcare facilities will be bursting, and finding the perfect home may be nearly impossible.

Moving to Legal will improve your quality of life. You can live affordably, raise a family, retire, start a business, and participate in various recreation and leisure activities. If you commute for work, major Highways provide direct routes that are less travelled.
