Blue Bag Recycling is offered to the residents of Legal on a weekly basis (unless rescheduled for statutory holidays).

- Flatten and break down cardboard boxes to save space on recycling.
- Give containers a quick rinse to remove any residue and keep them loose.
- Lids and labels can stay on containers.
- Do not place your recycling on snowbanks or icy surfaces.

The Town of Legal hosts a large item pickup twice a year (spring and fall), allowing residents to put out large items they no longer need, that someone else might be able to make use of. All leftover items are then brought to the landfill for disposal by GFL.

- Solid waste must be bagged and placed in the provided Waste Roll Cart(s) for pick up.
- Solid waste must be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on Thursdays or there is a risk that your solid waste will not be collected.
- All solid waste must fit inside the provided Waste Roll Cart - overflow will not be collected.
- The lid of the provided Waste Roll Cart must fully close to be accepted for collection.
- Allow 1 meter space on all sides of the Waste Roll Cart and wheels are to be placed in the curb.
- Yard waste is not collected as solid waste. Grass clippings, branches, leaves and other compostable material must be brought to the Town Compost Site located at the Town Shop (5310 – 48 Avenue).
Blue Bag Recycling is offered to the residents of Legal on a weekly basis (unless rescheduled for statutory holidays).
Be recycle ready!
- Place your recycling at the curb by 7 a.m. on your collection day.
- Flatten and break down cardboard boxes to save space on recycling.
- Give containers a quick rinse to remove any residue and keep them loose.
- Lids and labels can stay on containers.
- Do not place your recycling on snowbanks or icy surfaces.

Have a fun night buildig your very own holiday gnome! This 3ft freash cedar gnome is a feative project that involves lots of twisting and tying with loads of freash cedar boughs. You will have colour options of hats and mitts to give your gnome its finishing touch. They can welcome your guest indoors or out with no additional care!
