Development Overview
The Development Authority is responsible for planning, development, business licensing, and building construction safety. The Development Authority or its designate makes decisions on applications received related to the use, subdivision, and development of land in accordance with the Town of Legal’s Land Use Bylaw , Municipal Development Plan, and any other relevant master plan, area structure plan, or area redevelopment plans.
In addition, the Development Authority works to achieve programs and initiative within the Town’s corporate limits as an accredited municipality under Alberta's Safety Codes Act.
